I got a little carried away this year. I decided I would make a table runner for all my sisters, sisters in laws, mom and mother in law for their Birthdays (which means 10 in all) . I know...overwhelming! It didn't appear so at the time, but now that I am in the midst of them it is. I am just a tad late on most of them. I have completed four of them so far. I finished 2 of them in time for their Birthdays, but the rest I want to finish by the end of the month. I have 2 being quilted, so that means only four left to go! Wish me luck. You might see a lot of cupcake runners the next couple of weeks. Most of the fabric is made by Robert Kaufman. Oh, and if you are thinking you want one of these, NO I will not make one for you. I have made enough to last a lifetime. I might offer to let you come over and teach you but NO I will not make any more of these EVER.
I started stitching this pillow either last year or the year before. Really, who can remember that stuff when there are so many unfinished projects laying around. The good news is that I finished the stitching on Friday night while the husband was out. I turned it into a pillow today and am loving it! I love the fabric I used for the sides. It is Kaffe. Most of his stuff is a little too crazy for my taste, but how could one go wrong with purple polka dots?
I decided to create this blog in turn to help motivate myself and get these unfinished projects around my house done. I love craft projects but I love them and leave them all too often and I am sick of looking at all the stacks. I will try to tackle one unfinished project a day and then I will post it on here. In sorts it will be a craft/organizational/home project blog. Hopefully, to get me going on all those small things I just haven't finished...so here it GoEs. Just takin' it one day at a time!
My fabric "stash" is expanding. The unfinished projects pile is growing. Just trying to stay on top of it all while I raise 3 kids. Slowly, this blog is helping me to make my way to the bottom. Of the pile, that is.
